The Flame Hawk (Neocirrhites armatus) is a mostly peaceful, hardy fish that should be housed in a 30+ gallon tank with plenty of rock work to perch on and hide in. They will not nip at corals but may eat small invertebrates like Sexy Shrimp, crabs, and small Peppermints. As they grow, aggression towards smaller fish can take place. Flame Hawks do best singly as they will usually fight with their own species. Their diet should consist of mysis and brine shrimp, pellet, and other prepared foods. These fish reach a maximum size of roughly 4".
