- Livestock orders $1 - $149.99, before applicable taxes are charged $80 for shipping.
- Livestock orders that total $150 - $349.99 , before applicable taxes, can select the flat fee of $44.99 or the actual carrier rate; whichever is less.
- Livestock orders of $350+, before applicable taxes, qualify for free shipping.
- All Washington state livestock orders over $200 ship free. Livestock orders between $75 - $199.99 ship for $25. Orders from $1 - $74.99 ship for $40.
- All Oregon state livestock order over $250 ship free. Orders between $100 - $250 ship for $35. Orders from $1 - $99.99 ship for $50.
- Premium shipping rates apply to certain fish that require larger bags/boxes.
- We do offer in store pickup, however many items are sourced locally and some equipment is shipped directly from distribution centers. Wait times will vary based on your order.
Livestock is shipped using UPS Next Day Air and Air Saver overnight service. When ordering animals, please select the appropriate customized, flat-rate "Live Animal" overnight option. We do not ship livestock outside of the USA, or to Hawaii. Due to pricing and logistical challenges, we only ship airport to airport, freight collect, to Alaska. No flat rate or free shipping applies to Alaska shipments. Please email to make arrangements. We do not charge for heat/ice packs, boxes, or other packing materials. Your order is guaranteed to arrive alive. Please review our guarantees page before ordering.
*December 18 - January 1 is a blackout window. Holiday shipping volumes frequently cause delays in delivery. We will only ship if the customer acknowledges there is no live arrival guarantee on a delayed shipment.
*In some cases dry goods and livestock orders can ship together. If you qualify for free dry goods shipping, the system will make your overnight livestock shipping free, even if you haven't purchased enough livestock to qualify. There is no solution to this, and we will call you to discuss what your actual shipping rates need to be. You will be given the opportunity to edit or cancel your order if need be.
What happens after you place a livestock order:
- Your order is placed in our que and the livestock is collected and isolated.
- Please allow up to 4 business days for proper collection and health inspection.
- When the order is ready, within 1-4 business days, we will call and email to schedule shipment.
- You set the delivery date with our staff for the day that works best for you. We ship Monday through Wednesday for next day delivery. Some holidays are excluded. We've learned that shipping for Friday arrival can be problematic when UPS is delayed. We no longer ship for Friday arrival.
- Your order is professionally packed the day of shipping and shipped UPS Next Day Air or Air Saver to arrive on your specified date.
- You will receive tracking information via email when the order is shipped

*We do not require signature for delivery, but we recommend you acclimate your livestock to your aquarium as soon as it is delivered.
* If you find you will need to pick up your order at the carrier's distribution center closest to your location, please call us to make the proper arrangements.*
Dry Goods:
We charge $15 for UPS Ground shipping on orders under $100. Orders over $100 may select free dry goods shipping. Heavy or freight shipments do not qualify.
Most orders ship within 48 hours. Once your order has shipped, you will receive the tracking information in an emailed shipment notification.
