Niger Trigger Sm/Md

The Niger Trigger (Odonus niger) is an easy to keep fish that is not reef safe. It needs a 180+ gallon aquarium, when full grown. The aquarium should have lots of rock to hide in, and plenty of space to swim around. The diet of this fish should contain meaty foods like squid, krill, clams, small fish and hard shelled shrimp to help wear down their constantly growing teeth. Most Triggers develop some degree of aggressive behavior, and should be kept with other boisterous fish that can compete for their share at feeding time. Will eat clams, ornamental crustaceans, small fish, snails, and more in a reef setting. Max size is around 12". Shipping size Sm/Md 1" - 2.5".
