The Bluestreak Wrasse (Labroides dimidiatus) is a peaceful, coral safe fish that can be with most other fish. We advise that only very experienced hobbyists attempt to keep them. It needs a 90+ gallon aquarium with plenty of swimming space. The Cleaner Wrasse requires a tight fitting lid as most Wrasses are prone to jumping. This fish forms a symbiotic relationship with other fish by setting up a “cleaning station” to remove unwanted parasites from their bodies. The Cleaner Wrasse will attract other fish to their “cleaning station” with a special movement of their tails. These fish may even clean the inside of larger fish’s mouths and gills. Cleaner Wrasses should be fed a diet consisting of meaty foods like mysis, brine, LRS, & Rods, as well as pellets or flakes. It can only consume small amounts at each feeding and should be fed multiple times per day for it to thrive. Max size is around 5".
