The Six Line Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus hexataenia), is a durable, reef safe fish that should be kept in a relatively peaceful environment. While generally not aggressive, as they become more established, Six Lines can start to bully other peaceful Wrasses or timid fish. This fish  is one of the more difficult species to predict behaviorally. It needs a 30+ gallon aquarium with ample rock work, which it will constantly dart in and out of. The Six Line Wrasse requires a tight fitting lid as most Wrasses are prone to jumping. This fish does not bother corals or invertebrates. Six Line Wrasses will search for live foods in the form of small crustaceans such as pyramidellid snails (clam parasites) and commensal flatworms. The Six Line Wrasse is also thought to feed on bristleworms. Six Line Wrasses should be fed a diet consisting of meaty foods like mysis, brine, LRS, & Rods, as well as pellets or flakes. Max size is around 3".
