Panther Grouper

The Panther Grouper (Cromileptes altivelis)  is an easy to keep fish that will eat small fish and invertebrates. When small specimens are introduced they usually start off being shy. A tight fitting lid should be used as they are prone to jumping. As they become comfortable and grow, they may become aggressive towards other fish when threatened. It needs a 300+ gallon aquarium, when full grown. The aquarium should have lots of rock to hide in, and plenty of space to swim around. As they mature, Panther Groupers will become more of a grey/cream color with larger black spots. The diet of this fish should contain meaty foods like squid, krill, clams, small fish and hard shelled shrimp. Max size is around 20". Shipping size Small/Md around 2" - 3.5".
